Role Overview
eNGINE is seeking a Business Analyst to support the development and enhancement of business applications, web portals, and internal software solutions. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, end users, and software development teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gather requirements, and translate business needs into functional solutions.
The BA will play an active role throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial project discovery and requirements gathering through development, user acceptance testing, and implementation. The ideal candidate brings 4–5+ years of Business Analysis experience, a background supporting application development projects, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with business users, influencing solution design, and helping deliver technology that improves day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and operational teams to identify process inefficiencies, understand challenges, and recommend opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
- Lead requirements gathering efforts by interviewing stakeholders, evaluating existing workflows, and translating business needs into actionable functional specifications.
- Support the development of new applications, web portals, and enhancements to existing business systems.
- Collaborate with software developers and technical leadership to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and end-user expectations.
- Document business processes, workflows, system requirements, and functional specifications to support development and operational readiness.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work alongside project teams to keep requirements and deliverables aligned throughout development.
- Evaluate existing systems and operational data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating functionality and ensuring solutions meet established business requirements.
- Develop and deliver training materials and provide implementation support to internal and external users.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping resolve questions and maintain clear communication.
- Help establish project direction by communicating business priorities, supporting solution decisions, and keeping team members aligned.
Required Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role supporting software development initiatives.
- Experience working on projects involving application development, web applications, customer-facing portals, or enterprise software solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional documentation.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing and coordinating with end users through software implementations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with financial, transaction-heavy, or operational business systems.
- Familiarity with web applications, desktop applications, and relational databases.
- Experience documenting business process workflows and identifying opportunities to streamline operations.
- Background developing training materials and supporting application rollouts.
