Infrastructure Engineer
GDIT is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure supporting critical Department of Defense missions across both cloud and on-premises environments.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader with expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, automation, and enterprise infrastructure management. The engineer will work independently and collaboratively to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

Install, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms, operating systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.

Troubleshoot complex issues involving compute, networking, storage, virtualization, and enterprise applications while identifying opportunities for optimization.

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to obtain and maintain system accreditation packages, including security checklists, STIG compliance, diagrams, and required documentation.

Participate in cybersecurity activities such as vulnerability assessments, environment scans, penetration testing, and security audits.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 10+ years of related experience
- Technical skills:
Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II Required
