Duties
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including variance analysis reporting, profit & loss assessments, and financial forecasting to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain detailed financial projection models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) standards
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other relevant regulations
- Perform cost accounting analyses to optimize pricing strategies and improve profitability
- Utilize business intelligence tools and financial reporting software to gather insights, automate reporting processes, and enhance data analysis skills
- Interpret complex financial statements, providing clear insights for management on organizational performance and areas for growth
- Assist in budgeting processes, providing forecasts that align with organizational goals and strategic planning initiatives
- Conduct technical accounting research on topics such as corporate accounting, regulatory changes, or new accounting standards to ensure accurate application across teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification is a plus
- Proven experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or public accounting with strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards
- Proficiency in financial software systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, or similar platforms; advanced Excel data analysis skills are essential
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models using Excel or specialized forecasting tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear financial report writing and presentation of findings
- Data analysis skills with experience using business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred
- Ability to interpret financial statements accurately while providing actionable insights through variance analysis reporting and other techniques
