Showtime Presents is looking for a talented, creative and hands-on Event Designer, Stylist & Installer to transform an existing hospitality venue into an incredible, immersive Christmas pop-up bar experience.
We operate Jingle Bar and Elf Bar, festive pop-up experiences across the USA and Canada, and we're looking for individuals who can bring Christmas to life through bold, imaginative and visually impressive décor.
Think floor-to-ceiling Christmas decorations, oversized ornaments, sparkling lights, hanging presents, Christmas trees, garlands, themed photo opportunities and installations that make guests say WOW the moment they walk through the door.
We're not looking for someone who simply creates design concepts. We need someone who can design it, source it and physically help build and install it.
What You'll Be Doing
Creative Design & Styling
- Develop a visually exciting Christmas concept suited to the existing venue.
- Identify key areas to transform, including entrances, bar counters, walls, ceilings and photo opportunities.
- Create simple mood boards, visual references and installation plans.
- Work within an agreed budget while maximising visual impact.
- Create an immersive experience that looks fantastic both in person and on social media.
Sourcing & Purchasing
- Source Christmas decorations, lighting, props, artificial greenery, hanging installations and other creative materials.
- Identify affordable local suppliers, retailers and rental options.
- Use creativity to achieve high-end results without unnecessary spending.
- Manage an agreed materials budget and provide clear purchasing lists.
Hands-On Installation
- Personally participate in decorating and installing the venue.
- Install garlands, ornaments, lighting, themed props, backdrops and other decorative features.
- Safely create impactful ceiling and wall installations using venue-approved methods.
- Coordinate additional installation assistance where required.
- Ensure everything is secure, practical and appropriate for a busy hospitality environment.
- Complete the transformation within an agreed installation schedule.
Who We're Looking For
You'll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:
- Christmas or seasonal commercial decorating
- Immersive events or themed pop-up installations
- Event styling and production design
- Theatre set design, set dressing or scenic installations
- Visual merchandising or commercial displays
- Experiential marketing and brand activations
- Hospitality venue styling and transformations
Most importantly, you must be hands-on.
You should be equally comfortable planning a design, shopping for decorations, assembling props, working with tools and physically installing décor.
