Join Jones & Terwilliger Galleries in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA as a Fine Art Consultant, where your passion for art and exceptional customer service will inspire and engage clients seeking their perfect masterpieces. You will serve as a knowledgeable guide, helping high-end clients explore, select, and purchase fine art pieces.

Starting salary $20.00 per hour plus commission. Weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in browsing and selecting fine art pieces that match their preferences and needs.
- Provide detailed product knowledge on artwork and artists.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current inventory, new arrivals, and art trends to effectively advise clients
- Must be able to pick up and walk a distance with 40 lbs, as we handle all artwork and present it in a viewing room. We also offer homeshows and installations.
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and receipt issuance.
- Legible handwriting.
- Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing through effective merchandising and stocking practices
- Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills with our client contact system artcloud.
- Build strong relationships with clients through personalized service, follow-up calls, and email.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within an art or luxury goods environment. Achieve monthly sales goals both personally and with the team.
- Proven experience building and keeping a book of business.
- Strong phone etiquette with excellent communication skills to engage customers remotely or in person.
- Experience with retail sales transactions, cashiering, and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated customer service, excellence with professional demeanor and positive attitude. Must be a team player.

We specialize in representational and technically masterful paintings and sculpture. We are known for exquisite service by knowlegeable staff who have a personal passion for art, design, and sales goals.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
