About The Role
The Financial Analyst role drives decision-making across the business: building models, analyzing performance, and translating financial data into recommendations leadership can act on. The work is grounded in US GAAP, with exposure to SOX controls and SEC reporting requirements.
This role matters because capital allocation, pricing, and headcount decisions all depend on accurate, timely analysis. You will partner with accounting, FP&A, and compliance teams to ensure the numbers are right and the insights behind them are sharp.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel and SQL to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses against budget, presenting findings to finance leadership
- Support SOX compliance by documenting controls, testing key processes, and remediating identified gaps
- Assist with SEC reporting deliverables, including supporting schedules and MD&A analysis
- Partner with accounting managers on month-end close, reconciliations, and accrual accuracy
- Develop dashboards and reporting in Tableau or Power BI to track KPIs across business units
- Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases, modeling ROI, payback, and risk scenarios
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment banking, or public accounting
- Deep understanding of US GAAP; working knowledge of SOX controls and SEC reporting frameworks
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; SQL experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) and ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- CPA or CFA candidacy is a plus; strong written and verbal communication with executive audiences
- Bonus: experience at a high-growth technology company, familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC payback), or exposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606
