Role Description
As a Creative Designer, you’ll play a key role in developing fresh, trend-forward product and packaging designs for Art 101® and Sulyn™, two leading arts & crafts brands. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll bring creative ideas to life through product concepts, packaging, and marketing assets, while collaborating across teams to ensure projects meet brand and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Participate in trend research and brainstorming for new product concepts.
- Develop product and packaging designs, including color schemes, patterns, and mockups for presentations and sample submissions.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, and fellow designers.
- Prepare production-ready print files for packaging.
- Communicate design specifications and packaging needs to sourcing teams.
- Support product photography, photo editing, and occasional copywriting.
- Contribute creative content ideas for social media when needed.
Skills & Requirements:
- 2+ years of graphic design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating use of color, composition, and typography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac environment).
- Highly creative with the ability to generate original product and packaging ideas.
- Excellent time management skills; able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting concepts and collaborating across teams.
- Openness to feedback and a strong desire to grow with the company.
- Ability to commute to Carrollton, TX office 2-3 days a week or as-needed for additional project work.
Other Experience Preferences
- Familiarity with packaging design, dyelines, or production art.
- Experience with children’s craft or toy product design.
- Knowledge of Adobe Lightroom.
