We are looking for a Marketing & Social Media Creative to drive the creative direction and execution of event promotions for POST Houston and Art Club.
- POST Houston is a cultural campus in downtown Houston featuring a food hall, rooftop park, retail, workspaces, and a dynamic calendar of programs.
- Art Club is a new media art museum and cultural platform inside POST, presenting international art exhibitions by day and transforming into a nightlife destination with DJ nights and performances after dark.
This role sits at the intersection of design, social media, and event marketing. You will shape the look and feel of flyers, social content, and digital campaigns — with a strong focus on promoting Art Club’s DJ nights and POST’s cultural programming. The right candidate is a visual storyteller with strong social media intuition, able to balance brand guidelines with creative experimentation, and confident collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and artists.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and art directions for event flyers, posters, social graphics, and campaign visuals.
- Create static and motion content optimized for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Apply and adapt brand guidelines, knowing when to follow templates and when to push creative boundaries.
- Collaborate closely with the event programming team, external vendors, and artists/performers to align visuals with event direction.
- Partner with in-house designers and the marketing team to ensure campaigns are cohesive across all channels.
- Translate campaign concepts into engaging visuals across print, digital, and video.
- Manage timelines and deliver creative assets on schedule.
- Monitor design and social content trends to keep creative fresh and relevant.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, motion design, or social media content creation.
- Strong portfolio of event flyers, social campaigns, and digital/motion work.
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
- Strong eye for typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Solid understanding of social platforms, formats, and engagement best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualities
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Media Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred
- Experience with photography, video production, or short-form content.
- Familiarity with Figma, Web CMS systems, Adobe Express, or other creative/collaboration tools.
- Experience with nightlife, music, or cultural event promotion.
- Ability to guide freelancers, interns, or vendors when needed.
This is an in-person role based in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be working closely with our events and digital teams to ensure creative assets align with programming needs.
