As part of Vanguard's Risk & Security Analyst track, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our systems and data-day in and day out. This immersive internship offers hands-on experience at one of the world's leading investment firms, with extensive training, meaningful assignments, and mentorship from seasoned professionals to help you grow your technical expertise .
You'll gain exposure to the full software lifecycle and contribute to initiatives that directly impact our clients. Make it count.
In this internship you will:
• Drive security strategies that help Vanguard perform at its best and protect investors from emerging threats.
• Support client outcomes by contributing to our mission of giving investors the best chance at investment success.
• Build skills in policy enforcement, threat intelligence, incident response, and security automation.
• Build skills in analytical thinking, technical writing, and data-driven decision-making
• Gain hands-on experience in security strategy, risk mitigation, and digital ethics while practicing Agile & LEAN methodologies
• Share your insights and drive outcomes both individually and in collaborative, supportive environments.
• Network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers to build lasting professional relationships.
• Receive personalized coaching and mentorship through regular check-ins with your department manager and internship program manager.
What it takes
• In pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required
• Strong interest in security/threat analysis, fraud mitigation, and reporting
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations
• Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a team-oriented environment
