Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to support financial reporting processes and daily monitoring tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and process the receipt of financial statements
- Communicate with members to resolve missing or late reports
- Save financials in appropriate repositories
- Facilitate extensions and waivers, and process fines for late submissions
- Accurately enter financial data into the Automated Financial Reporting System (AFRS)
- Track reports through the full approval and workflow closure cycle
- Oversee daily surveillance emails and workflows (negative news, missing reports, account changes, etc.)
- Review daily items requiring immediate action
- Reconcile reporting and tracking tools for accuracy and timeliness
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial reporting components including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, etc.
- Experience in credit and financial statement analysis for financial institutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy
