Global Athlete Marketing Coordinator
PFL is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Athlete Marketing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the Sr. Director, Global Athlete Marketing in developing and executing strategic initiatives that elevate the profiles of our world-class MMA athletes on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
You will collaborate with internal teams and athletes to create and deliver athlete-focused campaigns across broadcast, social media, and brand marketing channels. You will play a vital role in building strong relationships with athletes and their management teams to unlock new opportunities for exposure and growth – responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to enhance athlete visibility and marketability
- Plan and manage athlete marketing activations across priority markets and major events
- Collaborate with athletes to create compelling content that drives event tune-in and ticket sales
- Coordinate with internal teams (Broadcast, Creative, Digital, Event Operations, PR, etc.) to ensure integrated campaign execution
- Identify compelling fight narratives for promotion across marketing, production, and social channels
- Monitor and analyze athlete-related metrics (social growth, viewership, ticket sales) to inform and optimize strategy
- Stay current on industry trends to ensure athlete marketing efforts remain innovative, relevant, and impactful
Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of marketing expertise, relationship management skills, and a strong passion for combat sports – qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in athlete marketing, sports marketing, or a related discipline
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with athletes and cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize marketing strategies
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Passion for combat sports and a deep understanding of MMA athlete culture
- Willingness to travel for events, activations, and content shoots as needed
- Willingness to work out of the New York City offices while not traveling – hybrid Tues-Thurs
