About Strac
Strac is on a mission to make sensitive data protection effortless. We’re building the leading platform for Sensitive Data Discovery, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). Our product auto-discovers and classifies sensitive data across SaaS and cloud services, then gives teams the tools to take action—masking, redacting, deleting, encrypting, and more.
Strac is trusted by companies like UiPath, thredUP, Rho, and Hostinger to keep customer data secure without slowing down the business. We're backed by Y Combinator—the same early investors of Airbnb, Doordash, and Stripe.
The Role: Content Marketing Manager (Full-Time, Hybrid)
(Remote: OK - Preference for Hybrid in Austin or Seattle 3x/week)
We’re hiring a content marketing manger who understands that words aren’t just decoration—they’re leverage. The right person will own our written content end-to-end: from strategy to execution, from publishing to performance.
This is not a content farm job. You’ll write things people actually read. You create meaningful content and share it across all platforms. You’ll write to drive qualified traffic, build trust with technical buyers, and explain what Strac does in a way that’s both clear and compelling.
What You'll Do
- Research and write long-form blog posts, landing pages, guides, and product copy that ranks and converts
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering to translate complex security concepts into plain English
- Build and refine our SEO content strategy (we want to win for every relevant search)
- Own and optimize the performance of published content—iterate based on what works
- Help define our tone of voice and editorial style as we grow
- Operate like an owner—take ideas from 0 to 1 without waiting for permission
You Might Be a Fit If You...
- Write like a human but know how to make Google happy
- Have 1–3 years of content marketing or SEO writing experience, ideally at a SaaS startup
- Have written for technical or security-minded audiences before—or are excited to learn how
- Can go deep on research, fast
- Know how to use tools like Ahrefs and Google Search Console (or are the kind of person who figures them out in a weekend)
- Understand content distribution—what happens after you hit publish.
Nice to Have
- Background in cybersecurity, SaaS, or data infrastructure
- Experience working with a CMS (Webflow/Letterdrop)
- Familiarity with LinkedIn distribution best practices
- A personal blog, writing samples, or portfolio of ranked/converted content
What It’s Like Here
We move fast. We write things down. We default to action. We’re technical by nature, but value clear thinking and writing even more. You’ll have autonomy, ownership, and real impact. No silos. No politics.
If you’re the kind of person who thinks the best way to explain a complex topic is to truly understand it, let’s talk.
