Position Overview
The Junior Designer & Social Media Coordinator will support Next Marketing’s client accounts and agency marketing efforts by providing design production, creative asset development, and social media management. This role is ideal for an early-career creative professional who enjoys a mix of design and digital communications. The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with design tools, and an understanding of social media best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Production
- Create and edit PowerPoint presentations, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and client objectives.
- Design and prepare social media assets, event collateral, and signage for client programs and activations.
- Support account teams in producing visual content for proposals, reports, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain design consistency across platforms and projects.
Social Media Management
- Manage Next Marketing’s agency social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that highlights agency culture, client work, and industry trends.
- Draft copy, schedule posts, and oversee daily content publishing.
- Monitor engagement metrics and provide reporting to optimize performance.
- Research trends and propose new content opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
General Support
- Work collaboratively with account teams to ensure timely delivery of design and social content.
- Assist with event-related creative and digital communication needs.
- Stay current on design and social media best practices, bringing fresh ideas to the agency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1–3 years of professional design experience supported by work portfolio.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Buffer).
- Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and grow.
