The Account Executive will be responsible for generating advertising revenue through direct sales to luxury brand clients, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, and achieving sales targets. The role involves creating and presenting tailored proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction through ongoing account management. This is a hybrid role, based in the North Shore, IL, with some work-from-home flexibility.Key Responsibilities- Actively prospect and secure advertising sales from luxury brands, agencies, and businesses targeting the North Shore’s affluent audience.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients to drive repeat business.
- Create and present compelling advertising proposals tailored to client needs across print, digital, and experiential platforms.
- Negotiate contracts to close deals while ensuring alignment with Modern Luxury’s standards and client objectives.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth for NS Magazine.
- Provide exceptional account management, ensuring client satisfaction through regular communication and campaign performance updates.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and events teams to deliver integrated advertising solutions.
- Stay informed on luxury market trends, competitor activities, and North Shore consumer preferences to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software.
Qualifications- Experience in sales, advertising, and account management, with a focus on luxury media or high-end markets preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong relationship-building and client management skills, with a client-first mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to effectively engage luxury brand clients.
- Knowledge of the luxury market and media industry, with an understanding of the North Shore’s affluent consumer base.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client meetings and events.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Google Docs suite; familiarity with digital advertising platforms is a plus.
