About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Design Checker with strong experience in the Midstream/Upstream Oil & Gas or Power Generation industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in checking detailed design drawings using Cadworx and 3D AutoCAD, along with a thorough knowledge of industry codes and standards.
This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of structural and civil design deliverables across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed checking of civil/structural drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with design standards.
- Review and validate:
- Structural plans, sections, and details
- Skids design
- Concrete drawings including location plans, foundation details, anchor bolt details, and rebar BOMs
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry codes, including PIP, ACI, and AISC.
- Verify constructability and alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to resolve design discrepancies.
- Support projects across facilities such as compressor stations, cryogenic plants, LNG facilities, H2S removal plants, and amine plants.
Qualifications
- 5–20 years of experience in civil/structural design and checking.
- Prior, proven checking experience (required).
- Background in Midstream/Upstream Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation projects.
- Proficiency in Cadworx and 3D AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with PIP, ACI, AISC and other applicable codes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design errors or inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
