We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fund Accountant responsible for providing specialized accounting support for commingled investment portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely execution of daily accounting deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform core fund accounting functions, including processing transactions, capital stock activity, expense allocations, corporate actions, and cash reconciliations.
- Monitor and resolve accounting breaks, ensuring timely identification and escalation of issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for derivative valuation inquiries and related processes.
- Manage daily production workflows and reporting to meet departmental deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to management reporting, including variance analysis and operational metrics.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders to resolve issues and minimize operational risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and U.S. holidays as needed.
