We are partnering with our Los Angeles, CA legal client to recruit an Event and Marketing Coordinator to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis, primarily onsite in their office just outside of Beverly Hills. In this role, you will be supporting the firm's marketing department in planning, execution, vendor management and optimization of firm events. Overall, this role supports integrated events, marketing, communications and firm business development work, and duties may include content creation, campaign support and similar. However, the bulk of this position is focused on driving cohesive event experiences for those planned by the firm as well as attended by the firm. You will facilitate vendor relationships and source new vendors (catering, locations, etc.), coordinate onsite and day-of setup and execution, review event project requirements, draft and send initiations and outreach to attendee audiences, and ensure seamless event experiences. A large part of this role is communication with relevant internal teams and vendors, so excellent communication skills are a must! This is a true ENTRY LEVEL role, and we're open to connecting with candidates who bring 6+ months of professional event planning experience, ideally in a marketing department.
This role is with a firm with ample resources, reach and opportunity! Their team is currently primarily onsite and this role sits in the LA office just outside of Beverly Hills four days per week, and will do some commuting around LA and the larger Southern California region for events as needed. Because of the nature of industry events, morning and evening overtime hours are not uncommon in this position. Hourly pay ranges from $25 to $30 based on level of relevant experience, and you can anticipate being an LHH contractor working for the firm for 6+ months.
You will:
- Support the marketing, communications and business development function for the firm, aiding in integrated projects that drive firm awareness, reputation and opportunity
- Serve as a key resource for firm-planned and firm-attended industry events, overseeing event projects from planning, vendor sourcing and relationships, onsite set up, take down and similar logistics, and more
- Draft and disseminate communications to relevant audiences that drive event attendance and awareness; Drive cohesive experiences for firm staff, external attendees and similar
- Represent the firm during events, serving as a resource and networking with attendees
Your experience should include:
- 6+ months of corporate event planning, event marketing or similar experience coordinating professional events, ideally working within a marketing department
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience managing vendor relationships with event spaces, catering and similar organizations, with the ability to align schedules and ensure seamless execution
- Excellent organizational and communications skills with the ability to work with outside and internal partners
- Strong technical aptitude, with Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing and project management software experience highly preferred
