Job Title: Accounting Analyst
Location: New York, NY (3 days in the office, 2 days work from home)
About the Firm:
A well-established private equity firm with over $1 billion in assets under management and a 15+ year track record of success. Their investment platform spans both private equity and real estate strategies.
The Opportunity:
They are seeking a detail-oriented, intellectually curious Accounting Analyst to support the CFO across all facets of fund and management company accounting. This is a high-visibility role with hands-on responsibility for daily accounting functions, quarter- and year-end close processes, and financial operations for our private equity and real estate funds.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in the daily accounting for the Funds and Management Companies
-Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledgers
-Support quarterly and annual financial close processes
-Assist with capital calls, distributions, and fund-level reporting
-Work directly with the CFO on fund administration, audit support, and internal process improvements
-Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks and Excel-based reporting models
-Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis across the platform
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting (journal entries experience)
-Excellent Excel skills
-Experience with QuickBooks is a major plus
-Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
-Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn the full scope of fund and corporate accounting
