Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and a hands-on approach, spending significant time on the shop floor while also effectively managing reporting, planning, and other office responsibilities.
This role is best suited for a driven leader who can balance day-to-day production needs with long-term growth strategies, helping us scale the company to the next level. Prior experience in aluminum manufacturing is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
- Lead and optimize all production activities, ensuring goals are met for quality, productivity, and delivery.
- Develop and implement production schedules, aligning workforce, subcontractors, and resources.
- Anticipate production needs, solve problems quickly, and adjust workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Write and present reports on production performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resource availability.
- Participate in management meetings to share progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Shop Floor Leadership
- Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, providing direct support to supervisors and teams.
- Identify and resolve mechanical or process-related issues alongside staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all production areas.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
People & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and develop production supervisors and staff.
- Support recruiting, training, and performance management in collaboration with HR.
- Mobilize and motivate employees to achieve production objectives.
Process Optimization & Cost Control
- Analyze performance and implement strategies to reduce downtime, waste, and inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve compliance or technical issues.
- Manage and monitor production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and support the introduction of new technologies.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Support risk management programs and workplace safety initiatives.
- Enforce company procedures, manufacturing standards, and environmental compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in a production environment.
- Demonstrated success in improving operations, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards, safety programs, and quality control.
- Computer skills with ability to use production and reporting tools.
- Experience in aluminum manufacturing is considered a strong plus.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
