The Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS) is a low-residency Montessori online teacher training center. CGMS is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the administrative team to support the company's financial management with various tasks. We are looking for an extremely detailed person who has excellent organizational skills. This is a part time position with the potential to grow to a full time job. It would be performed mostly from home with some weekly in person meetings.

Duties will include:

Maintaining the CGMS Billing Database by recording invoices and payments
Creating and sending financial statements and receipts
Processing monthly invoices, follow up with adult learners and schools
Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
Work with the admin team to coordinate document collection, deadlines, etc.
Complete projects independently when needed
Other duties as assigned

Requirements and skills:

The right individual will be motivated, work independently, flexibly and will use their own initiative to solve problems proactively. Attention to details, with the ability to spot errors and follow up is a necessity. Strong organizational and professional communication skills will be crucial for job success.

Work experience with Google docs and sheets, Microsoft word and excel, PDF software
Comfort with cloud based storage such as Dropbox or Google Drive
Familiarity with accounting software especially QuickBooks online
Open to learn new software applications for accounting
Ability to work with complete confidentiality

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
