The Role
We are seeking an Equity Research Intern to join our research team for the summer. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about financial markets, data analytics, and the use of alternative data in investment research. You will work alongside senior analysts to build models, perform data analysis, and contribute to the publication of research insights used by top hedge funds and asset managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of financial and statistical models to estimate and forecast company and industry performance.
- Analyze large proprietary datasets using Python, SQL, Tableau, and Databricks.
- Support senior analysts in writing and editing equity research reports.
- Gather and synthesize information from financial statements, regulatory filings, and industry publications.
- Help vet and explore new alternative data sources for potential use in research.
- Contribute to client deliverables, including ad hoc analysis and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and sales, to deliver actionable insights.
- Leverage AI to generate insights.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field anticipated to graduate in May 2027.
- Strong technical skills in Python (data analysis libraries), SQL, and data visualization (Tableau).
- Strong technical skills in Excel.
- Knowledge of financial statements and basic accounting concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with big data platforms such as Databricks or Spark.
- Experience with financial modeling and KPI forecasting.
- Exposure to equity research, investment banking, or asset management.
- Familiarity with alternative data, market research, or statistical analysis techniques.

Hourly Rate: $45/hr USD
