Job Title: Graphic Designer – Quilt Pattern Development
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team in producing high-quality quilt patterns. This role involves transforming design concepts into clear, visually appealing, and user-friendly quilt patterns. The ideal candidate has a strong background in graphic design, proficiency in digital illustration software, and an understanding of how to create technical instructions that are easy for quilters to follow.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and format quilt patterns, including diagrams, illustrations, and layout.
- Collaborate with pattern writers and quilters to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Develop templates, charts, and step-by-step visuals for instructions.
- Prepare files for both digital download and print publication.
- Ensure all designs are consistent with brand style and quality standards.
- Edit and update existing quilt patterns as needed.
- Maintain organized digital files for pattern archives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong skills in technical illustration and layout design.
- Experience in pattern or instructional design preferred (quilting, sewing, or crafts industry a plus).
- Keen attention to detail and ability to translate complex steps into clear visuals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Preferred knowledge of quilting, sewing, or textile design.
- Familiarity with print production and digital publishing formats.
- Creative problem-solving and ability to bring artistic vision to technical instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
