Role: Marketing Specialist
What you'll do:
As a (Local Area) Marketing Specialist, you’ll be the boots-on-the-ground connector for Engage NYC. You’ll help activate neighborhoods, onboard local businesses, and drive awareness of the platform through hyperlocal digital and physical campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with local retailers, cafes, bars, salons, event spaces (and many more) to onboard them to Engage.
- Execute hyperlocal marketing campaigns that drive awareness and usage in key NYC districts
- Source and spotlight unique local experiences, deals, and events to feature on the engagement platform
- Create and manage campaigns via social and influencer channels
- Track campaign performance and proactively make improvements to optimize future activations, This role will be highly accountable for customer experience and engagement performance for Engage NYC.
What we're looking for:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, community-first mindset
- Comfortable working independently and in a hybrid environment
- Passion for retail, local experiences, and emerging tech in NYC
- Previous experience in field marketing, brand activation, or local partnerships is a plus
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience being accountable for marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels.
