Remote Instructional Design Contractor

Goodyear is expanding its global Learning & Development team and seeking Instructional Design contractors to support a wide range of initiatives. This is a project-based contract opportunity, ideal for professionals at various stages of their instructional design careers—from emerging talent to seasoned experts.

Key Responsibilities - Remote Instructional Design Contractor

As an Instructional Design Contractor, you will collaborate with Goodyear’s Center for Leadership Development and cross-functional teams to design and develop engaging learning experiences for a global audience. Your responsibilities may include:

Designing and developing instructional materials across modalities (eLearning, instructor-led, blended)
Building interactive courses using tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise
Creating job aids, infographics, assessments, and facilitator guides
Conducting needs analysis and writing learning objectives aligned with business goals
Supporting localization, translation, and usability testing
Applying instructional design models (ADDIE, Bloom’s, Kirkpatrick) and adult learning principles
Ensuring all deliverables meet brand, compliance, and quality standards

Required Skills and Knowledge- Remote Instructional Design Contractor

Demonstrated instructional design experience (entry-level to advanced)
Experience working with global audiences and localization workflows
Storyboarding and sequencing content
Consulting and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Creativity and innovation in learning design
Quality assurance and brand alignment
Time management and project delivery
Governance and compliance awareness

Tools + technologies:

Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Rise)
Adobe Creative Suite (Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop)
Camtasia, Audacity, Intrepid, and other multimedia tools

Education and Experience - Remote Instructional Design Contractor

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, or related field, required
Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD), a plus but not required
