About the Job
Introduction
At My Monthly, we’re building a modern, empathetic cycle-tracking app that helps individuals and couples better understand their health and support each other. Our mission is to create experiences that are intuitive, supportive, and engaging — going beyond tracking to strengthen wellness and relationships.
As a UX Research Intern, you’ll work closely with our designer and product team to uncover user needs, validate design decisions, and ensure our app delivers real value. You’ll gain hands-on experience running user research studies, from planning and facilitation to synthesis and presenting insights.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and support usability testing of redesigned app tabs, documenting findings and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct interviews and studies with users to understand needs for new features.
- Assist with exploratory research to identify user needs and expectations for upcoming features.
- Prepare research protocols, scripts, and surveys to guide studies.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings, synthesizing them into actionable insights.
- Present learnings to the team and help prioritize design improvements.
- Collaborate with the design team to connect research insights to product iterations.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or recently completed in UX Design, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Product Design, or a related field.
Required Technical & Professional Expertise
- Portfolio or project samples that showcase research experience (can include class projects, case studies, or prior work).
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience
- Exposure to usability testing methods.
- Experience conducting interviews or surveys
- Basic understanding of A/B testing or experimentation.
- Interest in health, wellness, or relational apps.
- Ability to create clear, concise research reports or visuals.
