REMOTE - IMPLEMENTATION LEAD - PUBLIC SECTOR IT PROJECTS Location; Remote, US
JOB DESCRIPTION Platinum Resource Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced Implementation Lead to manage workstreams within large-scale public-sector IT implementation projects impacting 5,000+ active users. This role drives the planning, coordination, and execution of transition and adoption activities, ensuring smooth deployment and effective end-user adoption across county, city, or state government systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead assigned functional or technical workstreams (HR, Finance, Data, Testing, or OCM) under direction of the Project Manager.
- Coordinate implementation planning, testing, data validation, and system cutover activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks and interdependencies to ensure readiness and on-time delivery.
- Partner with vendor, IT, and departmental SMEs to ensure seamless deployment.
- Lead or support Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities including communications, training, and readiness tracking.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular implementation status updates.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years full-time experience within the last 10 years leading or coordinating transition activities for large-scale public-sector IT implementations (county, city, or state) serving 5,000+ users.
- 1+ year leading or supporting OCM activities such as stakeholder engagement, communications, or training.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Experience with ERP, HRIS, Financial, or enterprise systems preferred.
- PMP, Prosci, or equivalent certification desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Remote position - must be available during core business hours and occasional virtual or onsite meetings for key milestones.
