VN Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer
Responsibilities will include overseeing a construction project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to specifications by managing contractors, reviewing plans, and acting as the liaison between stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include inspecting work, resolving site issues, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities may also include performance of administrative works such as maintaining RFI’s, submittals and change order logs. Other duties may include the preparation of change orders, performing engineering calculations related to quantities and payments, processing and reviewing of progress payments for contractors. proof reading inspection reports and preparing monthly construction estimates, payments and pricing justification. Candidate must also be able to track quality assurance and certification paperwork.
Qualifications of the Resident Engineer should include the following:
- Professional Engineering License or a NICET IV
- 8+ years of CEI experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projects
