What You’ll Do
As a Junior Designer, you’ll bring your creativity, technical knowledge, and love for design to our growing collection of handbags and accessories for kids and tweens. Our products are fun, youthful, and full of personality—with a playful, fashion-forward edge.
You’ll help design across multiple categories that coordinate with our iconic accessories, including handbags, backpacks, hair, hats, cold weather, pillows/home, and seasonal items for holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Halloween.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop on-trend accessories for OMG kids under the direction of the Creative Design Director and CEO.
- Contribute to seasonal concepts and line development using OMG’s established artwork and print direction.
- Identify children’s trends, silhouettes, and prints, and translate them into fresh, commercial designs.
- Create detailed tech packs and ensure accuracy throughout the product development process.
- Work with a variety of materials and embellishments aligned with OMG’s signature aesthetic.
- Modify and adapt existing graphics across multiple accessory categories.
- Communicate closely with overseas factories on design intent, materials, and specifications.
- Collaborate daily with the Creative Design Director and team from concept through production.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of industry experience, ideally in accessories or children’s fashion.
- Strong background in overseas product development, sourcing, costing, and quality control.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (mandatory).
- Strong technical knowledge of accessory construction and the ability to create comprehensive tech packs.
- Excellent color sense and print development skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly creative environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global partners.
