Job Summary:
The Coordinator, Trade Marketing plays a vital role in supporting the execution of trade marketing strategies and initiatives to drive sales and brand visibility within retail environments. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, visual merchandising, and external vendors, to ensure seamless implementation of retail programs and activations. The Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for specific retailer programs, overseeing all aspects from kickoff to performance tracking, with a strong focus on visual merchandising, in-store promotions, and custom shop needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage detailed project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery for key workstreams. Brands included are IT Cosmetics, Urban Decay and Youth to the People.
• Merchandising Execution:
o Create and organize schematics for all planograms, displays for West Coast Business unit Luxury Brands.
o Update and track all expenses for merchandising initiatives.
o Forecast merchandising, accurately reflecting quantities based on the merchandising directory.
o Provide information for briefs and codes.
• Visual Merchandising and POS Activations:
o Facilitate the development and implementation of visually appealing and impactful in-store displays, including product selection, factice management, and staging.
o Oversee SHOP order processing for display materials and fixtures.
o Coordinate the ordering of DMI-produced store fixtures and factices for visual weeks, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
o Track and analyze the performance of visual merchandising and POS activations, providing data-driven insights to optimize future campaigns.
o Manage in-store updates, including briefing external agency, placing purchase orders, and overseeing installation.
• Custom Shop Needs and Special Projects:
o Manage custom shop needs, including the development and execution of unique planograms and instore staging.
o Handle specific retailer requests, such as linear updates and custom in-store activations for Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and Dillards.
o Take ownership of special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the trade marketing team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in trade marketing, visual merchandising, or a related role, preferably within the beauty or cosmetics industry.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of retail operations and visual merchandising principles.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
