The Opportunity
The Technology Services Practice is seeking an Associate to join its global team. This group advises some of the most influential organizations in the IT Services, Consulting, and Digital Transformation ecosystem — spanning Global System Integrators (GSIs), IT Outsourcing (ITO), Business Process Services (BPS), Cloud & Infrastructure, Application Services, and Managed Services.
As an Associate, you will play a critical role in executive identification, market mapping, candidate engagement, and competitive intelligence, supporting Partners on retained mandates across North America. This is a research-intensive, analytically driven role that requires fluency in the language of technology services and the ability to navigate a highly globalized talent landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research, developing organizational charts, competitive analyses, and target candidate pipelines across the global Tech Services sector.
- Build a sophisticated understanding of the global players, market offerings, and delivery models in this space, including Application & Cloud Services, Digital Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & AI Services, and Enterprise Transformation.
- Identify and engage senior-level executives — such as Partners, Managing Directors, CTOs, CIOs, Practice Leaders, and Delivery Heads — across target organizations.
- Partner closely with Consultants and Partners to translate client needs into actionable search strategies and sourcing plans.
- Synthesize market insights and present data-driven recommendations that shape client advisory conversations.
- Manage and update search documentation, CRM data, and longlists with precision and attention to detail.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to thought leadership initiatives, sector reports, and talent trend analyses.
Desired Background
- 2–5 years of professional experience in executive search, management consulting, strategy, market intelligence, or within a Technology Services / IT Services / Consulting firm.
- Strong understanding of the global technology services landscape — including firms such as:
- Accenture, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCLTech, Capgemini, IBM Consulting, Tech Mahindra, DXC Technology, EPAM Systems, Atos, LTIMindtree, NTT DATA, Genpact, CGI, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG.
- Familiarity with emerging players and next-generation providers in cloud, digital transformation, analytics, AI/ML, and platform engineering.
- Proven ability to conduct structured research, synthesize complex data, and extract meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — capable of engaging senior-level candidates with professionalism and confidence.
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global search environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred but not mandatory.
