SUMMARY:
As an IT Application Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting internal systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that applications meet user and business requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help optimize systems by integrating new technologies and driving innovation. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to provide exceptional user support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support to internal system users, troubleshoot issues, and
communicate actionable feedback to development teams for system maintenance
and improvements
- Understand business operations and user needs, leveraging this knowledge to
influence application design, optimization, and ongoing improvements
- Conduct diagnostic tests and debugging, ensuring that findings are accurately
reported and prioritized for development team resolutions
- Optimize application performance by integrating new technologies, upgrades, and
process improvements
- Maintain comprehensive and clear documentation of development processes,
procedures, and version histories for future reference.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Effective collaboration and communication skills to work closely with development,
operations, and business teams. Strong organizational and time management skills to
prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Relevant training and/or certifications related to
application development or technical support. Technical proficiency in the following is a big plus:
- Relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server)
- T-SQL and Stored Procedures
- Automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, etc.)
- Data Integration tools (e.g., SSIS)
- High-level programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, etc.)
Fluency in Japanese is a must.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
College degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
2–3 years or more of relevant experience as an IT Application Engineer or in a related
role. Fluency in Japanese is a must.
