WHAT YOU’LL DO
The quick overview
The Design Consultant is responsible for assisting homeowners in making exterior and interior selections, maintaining the showroom, and supporting the Sales and Construction team.
The basics
• Perform quality, detail work overviewed by the Design Studio Manager.
• Interact enthusiastically and professionally with other employees and homeowners.
• Work effectively in a team.
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communication and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Nobody’s an island!
The nitty-gritty stuff
• Meet with homeowners to make exterior and interior selections.
• Manage paperwork, worksheets, POS, and electrical drawings.
• Prep worksheets for appointments.
• Host homeowners during their preview visits, assisting with questions and pricing.
• Assisting in data entry of options at selections.
• Accurate and timely maintenance/ownership of all paperwork and assignments.
• Showroom maintenance per design center standards, including updating displays and labeling items, etc.
• Assist the Design Studio Manager with managing the current option offering.
WHAT YOU NEED
• High School Diploma.
• 1-2 years in builder design center or real estate sales helpful.
• Excellent selling, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Creative and proactive.
• Professional level of organization.
• Computer software skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Dropbox); Ability to learn other programs as needed.
