Job Description
Todder is a leather goods workshop located in Newburyport's Industrial Park, just 1/4 mile from the commuter rail. A little over a year ago, we launched Monomoy (www.monomoy.com). At Monomoy, we specialize in producing high-quality custom leather patch hats with no minimum order requirements, offering bulk discounts for individuals, businesses, and events.
We are a small team, and custom leather patches are the foundation of our business. We are excited to welcome a dedicated Graphic Designer to join our design team!
In this role, you will be responsible for digitizing customer logos/designs and converting them into laser-ready files to ensure accurate design etching on leather.
Job Type: Part-Time
Expected Hours: 25-30 per week
Work Location: Newburyport, MA (in person)
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator to refine and recreate customer logos for orders.
- Make necessary adjustments to customer sent files to enhance visual quality and ensuring they meet standards for laser etching.
- Create proofs that are ready to be send to customers for approval.
- Update production spreadsheet with order information.
Qualifications / Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (required).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with other team members
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple customer projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a related role.
Experience
- Graphic design: 2 years (required)
- Adobe Illustrator: 2 years (required)
- Adobe Photoshop: 2 years (required)
Preferred but Not Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with prepress operations
- Strong understanding of design principles and how they apply to different materials, particularly leather.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
