About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Junior Mechanical Engineer or Engineering Technician to support our product development team in the early testing and validation of cutting-edge medical devices. This role focuses on mechanical design, prototype evaluation, and mechanical testing working closely under the guidance and supervision of a Senior Product Development Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the setup, execution, and documentation of mechanical tests for prototype medical devices.
• Prepare and assemble mechanical fixtures, test rigs, and prototypes according to specifications.
• Perform basic measurements, data collection, and reporting of test results to senior engineers.
• Maintain lab equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support the team in root cause investigations and iterative design improvements.
• Follow strict regulatory and procedural guidelines for handling and testing medical device components.
• Work collaboratively with the engineering team to improve processes and workflows.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Associate’s degree, technical diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in a mechanical, biomedical, or related engineering technology.
• 1+ year of experience in a technical or lab setting (medical device or regulated industry preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools and measurement devices.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
• Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other medical device quality systems.
• Experience with mechanical testing equipment such as tensile testers, force gauges, or fatigue testing machines.
• Knowledge of basic CAD or data collection software.
• Experience with 3D printing.
