MidCap Advisors (MidCap) is a rapidly growing middle-market corporate M&A advisory firm and diligence provider based in New York City that has embraced remote working for years.
We are seeking to hire a full-time Financial Analyst with strong accounting, analytical, computer and communication skills.
MidCap offers its analysts the opportunity to gain extensive experience while working on a variety of client engagements. We provide analysts with unparalleled exposure to senior professionals, mentoring by senior bankers at the firm, and interfacing directly with senior-level client executives. This position requires a high level of problem-solving and the ability to professionally handle multiple priorities. We operate in an entrepreneurial environment and our analysts are given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit.
Our Analyst Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing general ledger activity, financial statements, and financial projections
- Performing financial analysis and modeling
- Conducting company, industry, market, and competitor research and lead efforts to collect information that supports due diligence
- Creating and tailoring analyses of financial data to identify matters for consideration in evaluating a seller's quality of revenue and earnings, required working capital, and items that may impact future cash flows
- Conducting diligence discussions with various parties including clients, sellers, management teams, other advisors, and MidCap engagement teams
- Produce and deliver customized diligence reports detailing findings of diligence reviews
- Data room management
- Moderate travel requirements for on-site diligence meetings/data gathering

- Strong undergraduate academic performance
- An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting
- Strong accounting and financial statement analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (experience effectively developing and presenting professional financial presentations is important)
- Strong Excel, data analysis, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage tight timelines in a team environment
- A high degree of energy, motivation, and dedication to quality work
We provide a competitive base salary, a 100% company-paid employee benefits package for the employee, and an annual bonus of up to 50% of the base salary based on performance. MidCap is an equal opportunity employer.
