Role Description
This is a part-time social media marketing manager role at Velvet.Co. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating and managing social media content, communicating with customers and partners, and helping to execute digital marketing campaigns. This is an hybrid role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
Our agency is looking for a Social Media Manager to join the team. This role requires someone creative, organized, and social-savvy who can manage and grow our presence across TikTok, Instagram, and RED (Xiaohongshu). You’ll be responsible for creating engaging content, leading campaigns, and supporting the team in achieving overall digital goals.
The ideal candidate has strong creative instincts, understands what performs well on each platform, and is confident leading ideas from concept to execution.We’re looking for someone who is excellent at video editing, skilled in using social media and design tools, and experienced in managing website updates through Webflow. This role also involves analyzing data to guide strategy and working closely with different departments to ensure consistent messaging and results.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and create content across TikTok, Instagram. RED (Xiaohongshu) is a plus!
- Shoot, edit videos and design visual content for social platforms
- Update and manage agency website (Velvetco.co) using Webflow
- Develop and execute social media strategies and campaigns
- Analyze performance metrics and ad data to optimize growth
- Collaborate with internal teams and lead social initiatives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand or agency
- Strong creative direction and understanding of trends
- Skilled in design tools and short-form video editing
- Familiar with data analysis and paid social media ads
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience managing personal social media accounts is a plus
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus
