About this role:
As the foundational Head of Marketing for Colossus Fantasy, you will have sole responsibility for driving user growth through strategic marketing initiatives in the US. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, identify potential growth channels, and oversee all brand and user acquisition efforts. Your primary goal will be to establish and maintain a strong brand identity and drive significant user acquisition and retention to maximize market share and achieve business objectives.
Given we are establishing ourselves in a new market, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Head of Marketing to directly drive the growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive user growth and increase market share.
- Identify and evaluate new marketing opportunities, channels, and campaigns aligned with the company's objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, market gaps, and potential areas for marketing expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, especially media partners/affiliates, influencers, and online community leaders.
- Negotiate and secure partnerships, content agreements, and advertising placements to ensure effective brand promotion and user acquisition.
- Collaborate closely with the business development team to create and implement effective marketing strategies that support business development initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to anticipate changes and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Analyse marketing and operational data to track performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to the executive team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head of Marketing or in a similar leadership role within the DFS or sports betting industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the market trends and key players in the industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully driving user acquisition and revenue growth.
- Experience with managing the main social media platforms and app store pages to maximise their reach and appeal to customers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, analyse data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills - to keep stakeholders regularly informed.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and digital marketing channels in the DFS and sports betting industry.
- Work around the sporting schedule, with evening and weekend work required as needed.
- Leading and directing of design and operations teams to allow for day to day support of your duties.
- Willingness to be hands on and build marketing function from the ground up.
