TPD is seeking an enthusiastic and creative designer, Entry Level or Intern to Entry Level with 0-3 years of experience to join their award-winning Marketing Team. Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, the willingness to work cohesively within a team and the ability to work independently on multiple concurrent projects. Our ideal designer must be ready for a challenge and be interested in continuing to evolve our established 30+ year-old brand, as well as helping support a staff of 300 technical professionals.
Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Design and maintain graphics related to TPD’s social media pages and website, including managing the corporate social media calendar.
- Manage the design and distribution of the monthly internal newsletter.
- Manage and maintain our WordPress website.
- Create short videos that advertise our work and/or the company for distribution on our website and social media pages.
- Create designs for promotional materials such as advertisements, corporate letters, presentations, giveaway items, apparel and qualifications packages.
- Create designs for electronic and print marketing including e-mail and direct mail marketing campaigns, corporate signage, e-brochures and web-based projects, internal communications, as well as project simulation graphics.
- Assist with professional report and proposal layout/preparation/editing.
- Provide graphic design assistance to engineering staff including assisting with creating project concept materials, project display board designs, presentation layouts and graphics for project meetings.
- Photograph corporate headshots.
- Photo document project sites for project features.
- Ensure a unified corporate image/brand.
- Responsible for other general office duties, as may be assigned, including management of “TPD Store”, event planning/assistance, among other administrative tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
- Working toward or has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related degree
- Social media graphic, content creation and management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently on multiple projects with minor direction and ability to meet quick turnaround deadlines
- The ability to think outside the box to create innovative designs and provide the marketing team with fresh ideas
- Above average knowledge of Adobe platforms including but limited to: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Express
- Knowledge of Canva
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Wordpress, Html, CSS, and PHP coding experience is a plus
- Experience in engineering and/or architecture industry is a plus
- Experience with photography and/or video production is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Portfolio submission required
Our Creative Design Manager, who will train and manage this designer, is based out of our Pottstown, PA office location (HQ). Initial training will require some time in the Pottstown office (about 3 days a week for the first few weeks, and the rest working remotely or hybrid from any of our locations). Once our new designer becomes more independent, they will be able to report to any of our office locations, with the option for a hybrid schedule as well.
