Gansevoort Hotel Group is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Sales & Marketing Team.
This position will primarily be responsible for overseeing social medial efforts, PR, and any ad-hoc marketing projects.
Social Media
· Own and manage the day-to-day social media brand channels for hotel and F&B venues.
· Schedule and plan all content 2 weeks in advance for Marketing Director to approve in advance.
· Content to rotate features of the hotel: packages, restaurant, rooftop, pool, lifestyle/room, local/neighborhood along all accounts
· Coloration and filter: try to use the same filter on photos. Follow all brand guidelines.
· Frequency: aim to post 4-6x a week per channel
· Ensure proper geotagging, tagging, photo credit. Request permission for reposting UGC content + post giving appropriate credit.
· Emphasize approved brand hashtags (Ex: #GansevoortLife, #GansevoortPets, #GansevoortLocal)
· Engage w/ content like/heart + comment on posts that tag us or geotag us daily repost any Instagram stories that are on brand
· Distribute monthly reporting showing the takeaway recaps, areas of improvement, follower growth and engagement stats
· Boost and create ads in alignment with promotions/events
· Content: take photos and videos when appropriate. Schedule and oversee approved barter photographers to shoot content onsite
· Pitch additional avenues and strategies with the goal of increasing engagement and followers
· Manage all OTA reviews & monthly Reputation Lab reporting
PR
· Action PR requests by coordinating content and required assets in coordination with F+B (Ex: specialty cocktails, brand partnerships, event activations).
· Contribute to bi-weekly calls with PR team – F&B specials & ideation, influencer coordination, etc.
· Oversee press, influencer and partnership photoshoots on property.
Marketing Materials + Admin
· Maintain/print materials for housekeeping (including but not limited to: mini bar menus, stickers, steam shower instructions)
· Create/print/place and monitor property signage when necessary (including but not limited to: pool closing, private rooftop event, out of order, etc.)
· Monitor Google Nest Hub device on backend, update partnership content when appropriate, and oversee ongoing edits and communicate approved changes to Volera and internal teams.
· Forward any invoices received for recurring social media platforms/ads or marketing services and give to Marketing Director for review/approval.
· Monitor and track shipments, mail packages when necessary
· Monitor office supplies (paper, package inclusions, business cards, posters, signage, office supplies, etc.)
Required Skills/Qualifications
· Marketing experience of 2+ years within Hospitality sector (previous Hotel Sales and Marketing or Restaurant marketing experience preferred).
· Business letter writing and organizational skills.
· Telephone skills, letter compositions, appointment scheduling, filing and accountability for numeric calculations are paramount.
· Refinement of all computer skills is not limited but includes Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, Canva.
· Confidentiality relative to all aspects of our business.
· Flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, late evenings, etc.
· Multi-lingual skills are highly desirable.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
· Ability to work independently.
· Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
· Must maintain a cooperative, approachable team-oriented attitude.
· To be financially aware and aim to strive for a successful profitable business.
· To report for duty punctually following the Gansevoort Attendance and Punctuality Policy.
· To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all staff.
· To always handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors or managers on duty.
· To always provide and maintain the highest possible service standards to our clientele.
· To never be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when on duty.
· Never to communicate to any members of the press regarding Gansevoort Hotel Group, it's clientele and the owners of the hotel.
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Hospitality or other business-related degree is required.
· Must be able to communicate proficiently in the English language, both written and verbally.
· Able to attend events and relevant trade shows or meetings as needed.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work stationery at least 8 hours per day and/or standing for 8 to 10 hour to conduct trade shows.
· Must be able to speak and hear clearly to communicate with potential guests and clients.
· Must be able to pull, lift, or move packages at least 40 pounds of force.
· Must be able to move inside the office to make copies and send faxes.
· Must be able to reach and handle the computer keys, paper and items on the top of the desk.
· Must have depth perception and balance, for overall performance and be able to work with computers.
This is an on-site role that would require flexibility to work schedules. Long hours are required on occasion. Weekend/Holidays availability might be needed based on business demands.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. Starting pay rate is set at $80,000-$85,000 per year. Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, commuter benefit, paid time off, and other company perks.
