Job description:

Custom manufacturer of extensive product line has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer in equipment design and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Use mechanical engineering skills to design, develop, and enhance consumer products, manufacturing processes and equipment.
Work with the team of engineers, sales staff and shop floor personnel to delivery customer and product-based solutions.
Work “hands-on” with manufacturing to resolve any problems encountered in the fabrication and construction of machines.
Generate 2-and 3-dimensional Solid Works drawings along with bills of materials by collaborating with Sales and vendors specific needs and constraints
Works closely with Sales by collaborating on projects using dimensions from job site
Work on vendors on approval drawings and revisions
Follow project from concept through design, fabrication, through installation

Job Requirements

· Bachelor of Science in Engineering

· Proficient in SolidWorks

· Detailed individual

· Background in one or more of sheet metal and or plate fabrications, power transmissions and drives, material handling, hydraulic and electrical components

· Strong mechanical aptitude beneficial

· The ability to prepare and store information in directories as set forth by internal procedures

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities

· Positive and social personality

· Must be able to work well independently with minimal direction

· Organizational skills a must

· Design to learn and grow in role

· Ability to work with multiple departments

Preferences:

· Sheet metal

· Plate fabrications
