We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the web handling and converting industry to design advanced roll-to-roll machinery. This role offers the opportunity to design high-speed precision equipment used in coating, laminating, slitting, extrusion, winding, and related processes.
What You’ll Do
- Designing and detailing drawings using CAD.
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls, electrical, and process engineers to deliver innovative automation solutions.
- Collaborate with machinists, assemblers, and technicians to complete projects efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- BS or AS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 1-2 years of Mechanical Design experience minimum.
- Familiarity with coaters, laminators, extruders, winders, unwinds or converting machinery is preferred.
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Preferred Skills
- Critical analysis and innovative solutions.
- Experience in machine design.
- Experience with continuous roll-to-roll designs (coaters, laminators, extruders, slitters, winders, unwinds) a plus.
