We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing engaging social media campaigns that enhance brand visibility, foster community engagement, and drive business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and analytics to optimize our social media presence across various platforms. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for design, and proficiency with industry-standard tools and software.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with company goals, including content creation, scheduling, and publishing across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
 - Manage daily social media activities using tools like Hootsuite and Buffer to ensure consistent posting and engagement.
- Create compelling visual content utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite to enhance brand storytelling through graphics, photography, and videos.
- Monitor social listening channels to gather insights on audience sentiment, trending topics, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
- Conduct keyword research and utilize SEO best practices to improve content discoverability and increase organic reach.
- Analyze web analytics and social media metrics using Google Analytics and web analytics tools to measure campaign performance and optimize future efforts.
- Manage paid advertising campaigns on Facebook Advertising and other platforms to boost engagement and conversions.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels while managing relationships with influencers, partners, and community members.
- Proofread all content for accuracy, tone, and branding consistency before publication.
- Collaborate with the public relations team to manage online reputation and handle crisis communication when necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in social media marketing, digital marketing strategies, e-commerce integrations, video editing techniques, and emerging platforms.
Requirements
 - High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, Canva, and basic video/photo editing tools.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
- Experience working with nonprofits or programs that serve individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Must be professional, creative, and mission-driven.
- Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing roles with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar graphic design tools.
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, Google Analytics, web analytics tools, and social listening tools.
- Strong graphic design skills with an eye for branding aesthetics; experience in photography and video editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Facebook Advertising campaigns and digital marketing strategies including social media marketing for e-commerce.
- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in content creation.
- Ability to analyze data insights to inform strategy adjustments effectively.
- Strong relationship management skills to foster community engagement both online and offline.
