Position Description:
Provides technical and subject-matter expertise in materials science, manufacturing processes, and industrial base sustainment. Analyzes raw material risks, supply chain dependencies, and manufacturing capabilities to inform Warstopper investment decisions. Conducts risk analysis of suppliers and materials critical to operations, supporting the development of mitigation strategies and technical specifications. Contributes to Level I and Level II risk analyses, Lean Six Sigma assessments, and procurement readiness documentation.
Core Functions:
 - Evaluates industrial base risks related to critical raw materials and components.
- Conducts research and analysis to identify at-risk suppliers and technical constraints.
- Develops or reviews technical specifications, SOWs, and cost estimates for procurement readiness.
- Supports simulation modeling and process improvement initiatives.
- Provides technical inputs to the Raw Material and ICRA Reports.
Clearance Level: Secret
Information Assurance Certification: Level II IT Certification
Other Certifications: (Preferred) Has taken courses toward a recognized certification such as chemical or material engineering Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) or ISO/EN 10204 or experience with Raw Material Certifications.
Functional Expertise: (Preferred) minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain management, specialized in design analysis, and awareness of materials to meet rigorous performance and safety standards for military applications. This role involves extensive knowledge of advanced materials including but not limited to composites, metals, ceramics, and polymers tailored for various defense systems and structures.
Required Technical Expertise: Conducts materials characterization and analysis to ensure identification of supply chain vulnerabilities impacting end item processing.
Required Experience: 2 years professional experience with DoD or Defense Industrial Base (DIB)
Required Education: Bachelors or Masters from an accredited university.

Pay: $103,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
