Position Summary
We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 1–3 years of accounting experience to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This role will work closely with the Statutory Accounting, Premium Accounting, and Claims teams to ensure accurate and timely financial processing across the organization.
This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in statutory accounting and insurance industry operations while contributing to a growing, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Payables management: review, book, and send for approval all Leaders’ daily payables. This includes corporate expenses, commissions, claims, and premium reimbursements
- Check management: Many of Leaders’ payments are ACH-based, but checks are often required for claims, premium reimbursements, and expenses. This position is responsible for printing and shipping checks (including relevant accompanying documents)
- Statutory accounting: Learn basic statutory accounting and aid Leaders’ Senior Statutory Accountant with accounting tasks as assigned
- Annual audit: Help gather and organize documents relevant to Leaders’ annual statutory audit
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's degree in Business Finance/Accounting or related field (required)
Experience:
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Prior experience in financial services is strongly preferred
- Exposure to statutory accounting or regulatory reporting is preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting systems preferred

Travel: 4-6 times per year, mainly to Leaders’ office in Tulsa, OK
