Crystal Capital Partners, a financial services company with over 30 years of alternative investment experience, is looking for a Research Associate to join our team in our Miami headquarters. The individual will primarily be responsible for analyzing the private markets & hedge fund industry and organizing the research and findings accordingly.
Responsibilities
· Cover the hedge funds and private market fund investment landscape
· Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence for the firm’s existing and new investments by producing and maintaining reports on these funds
· Conduct update calls and onsite due diligence visits with fund managers, as well as source and qualify new opportunities across the alternative investment universe
· Review fund offering documents (i.e. legal, marketing) and input notable changes to Crystal’s internal database
· Write investment memos for investor conference calls, investor letters, and internal meetings
· Help prepare a quarterly investment committee presentation, participate in quarterly investment committee meetings, and assist with implementing resulting calls to action.
· Import monthly market data for fund benchmarking and analysis
· Originate industry-specific educational material and industry-specific blog writing
General Requirements
· Must have a firm understanding of hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and venture capital
· Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics or Finance
· CAIA and/or CFA Preferred
· Must be willing to work in office setting
· Proficient in excel, powerpoint, sharepoint
Salary Range
$70-90K/ year + health benefits. Salary is contingent on qualifications.
