CMK Select, a specialized Project Management consulting firm dedicated exclusively to the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industry is hiring an R&D, Discovery, Late Phase Project Manager to assist our Pharma client's R&D organization's assets in varying phases of the lifecycle.
CMK Select is seeking a hands-on Project Portfolio Manager to:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional R&D project teams (Discovery, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Commercial) as they pertain to assets.
- Provide Portfolio Management to support the prioritization of pipeline assets and ensure alignment with our Pharma client's R&D strategy.
- Apply understanding of the Drug Development lifecycle and milestones.
- Plan & execute by developing an integrated project plan with timelines, milestones, risks, and budgets. Execution needs to be driven in accordance with phase gates and governance requirements.
- Prepare and present project updates; ensure timely decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with finance teams to track budgets and forecast resource needs across pipeline projects.
To excel in this role, the Project Portfolio Manager should possess the following experience and acumen:
- a background specific to R&D Pharma
- experience in Phase IIb and beyond
- Respiratory and Immunology/Inflammation therapeutic category experience
- Proven experience managing cross-functional project teams in a matrix environment, creating Integrated Product Development plans and identifying critical paths.
- Deep understanding of the Drug Development process from Discovery to Registration.
- Strong knowledge of Planisware and project management methodologies.
The Project Portfolio Manager will partner with cross-functional teams and drive cross-functional alignment to ensure reliable portfolio planning.
This is a Senior Associate position with CMK Select with an initial compensation range of will be $160,000.00 - $165,000.00. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
