The Electrical Engineer I position is designed to provide independent control systems design for electromechanical packaging equipment under the supervision of senior engineers or supervisors. This entry-level role requires a fundamental technical background in the electrical design of PLC systems and the ability to support both mechanical and software aspects of electro-mechanical systems. The individual in this position should have basic multi-disciplinary engineering skills, strong critical thinking abilities, and the capability to effectively collaborate and communicate with personnel from different disciplines within the company.
The following responsibilities outline the key functions performed by the Electrical Engineer I. Each responsibility specifies the tasks involved and how they are accomplished.
- Design and develop electrical systems incorporating PLC, AC, and DC electrical systems for use in packaging equipment.
- Perform electrical analysis of both high and low power AC and DC systems.
- Design and construct electronic components and test fixtures, troubleshoot product electronics and electrical designs, and carry out testing of products and components.
- Complete and implement engineering changes, or provide support for such changes, by updating AutoCAD software, reviewing technical aspects of change proposals including component drawings, tolerance analyses, and ensuring adherence to the engineering change procedure.
- Build regulatory expertise relevant to Triangle products to ensure product safety and control designs comply with machinery safety regulations for the environments in which they are used. This responsibility requires direct interaction with product safety and electronics testing vendors.
- The role requires communication with a diverse range of contacts both within and outside the department
- Travel required (approximately 10%).

- To perform effectively in this position, the individual must possess mathematical knowledge of electrical control systems, an understanding of mechanical motion, timing in programming, electrical safety system design, and proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and an understanding of project management principles are necessary.
