We are seeking an experienced Electrical Network Engineer to lead the design, upgrade, and support of critical nuclear plant network systems. This role requires a proven background in instrumentation, control systems, and network integration to ensure safe, reliable monitoring of plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the replacement and modernization of outdated plant network systems, including Plant Processing Computers (PPC) and Central Processing Complex (CPC).
- Design and support systems that monitor pressure, temperature, voltage, current, and load, ensuring accurate and continuous performance of critical monitoring networks.
- Implement and maintain data trending and analytics tools to track system health and identify anomalies.
- Provide technical expertise in Westinghouse systems, PLCs, and DCS platforms used in nuclear environments.
- Conduct engineering design, review, and verification of electrical network and instrumentation projects to meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve network system issues.
- Support engineering change processes, documentation, and validation for upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear QA requirements and industry codes during design and implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE preferred).
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on nuclear or highly regulated industries.
- Hands-on expertise in instrumentation, control logic, and network systems design.
- Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming and integration.
- Strong background in power and instrumentation monitoring systems.
- Experience with data analysis tools for performance trending and reporting.
- Knowledge of nuclear safety, regulatory compliance, and QA programs is strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- PE license or advanced certifications a plus.
