Business Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC preferred — hybrid 2 days per week onsite
Role Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst to serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; identifying process improvements; and ensuring that delivered solutions align with organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable driving clarity in complex business and technical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
Process Improvement
- Identify and recommend process optimization opportunities.
- Perform gap analyses between current and future state processes.
Stakeholder Communication
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Act as a bridge between business units and technical delivery teams.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, workflows, and use cases.
- Develop progress reports and dashboards to track project status and KPIs.
Testing & Validation
- Support QA teams by reviewing test cases and validating that solutions meet business requirements.
Change Management
- Contribute to training and communication plans to support successful adoption of new systems or processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proven experience performing true business analysis — including process mapping, workflow design, and requirements documentation — using established BA tools and templates.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks to completion.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
- Experience with Azure DevOps or other project management/development tools.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
- Understanding of enterprise applications and cross-functional systems.
