Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of
Business Consultant (Direct or Indirect) in Houston, TX or other various major cities in Texas (San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth) locations through
December 3rd, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
This position is responsible for growing Chevron's share of wallet and overall profitable growth with existing customers in the Industrial and Lubricant Marketer Channels. Primary focus of the role is looking for ways to expand business relationships with customers. Will utilize value based selling techniques to drive profitable growth and work closely with other Chevron sales roles to develop new customers. The business consultant owns the overall P&L of the customers in his/her portfolio.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Provide input and work with Inside Sales in lead generation and prioritization.
- Manage the on-going needs assessment activities with existing customers to determine opportunities for Share of Wallet growth.
- Partner with the Lubrication Marketer Salespeople to negotiate offer details, present offer and close the sale.
- Conduct customer performance evaluations and provide alternative products, services, and solutions.
- On-going customer education of product lines and their benefits.
- Partner with customer to develop strategic business plans that are specific to customer needs.
- Stay abreast of current pricing trends and identify opportunities to improve customer pricing strategy.
- Work closely with Lubrication Marketer management team to drive the Chevron brand throughout their sales organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 1 - 5 years of related experience
- Ability to travel at least 60% of the time is required
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to build relationships within all levels of customer's organization
- Ability to differentiate support levels based on customer needs
- Knowledge in using and managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Ability to leverage the organization to pull in additional resources where necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lubricants knowledge, OMA-1, CLS Certification a plus.
